The Art of Alignment
Welcome, I’m so glad you’re here!
A place for the thinking beyond the work - the real stories beneath the waves of motherhood, business, entrepreneurship, and everything in between.
I hope you read future posts and nod in agreement, reply with questions, share with a friend for validation, or maybe even shed a tear of relief you aren’t in this alone. For me? Let’s be real, I hope to learn a thing or two from you as well.
You’re probably wondering what led me here, and I like to call it alignment. Until a year ago, I didn’t really know what alignment truly meant, how it felt, or where it could take me. Now, fast forward to today, I let alignment guide me on a daily basis. In business decisions, in finding clarity, in accepting, in setting boundaries, in taking a pause, and in pushing myself to try something new.
Every move I have made this past year didn’t come with some pristine plan, with exact knowledge of what’s next, an understanding of what I was doing, with zero risk - it came because I was practising the art of alignment. This meant taking steps daily to take the journey forward, closer to who I wanted to be.
For me, that meant big changes. It also meant taking action to make those big changes for myself - actually doing and not just saying.
I knew I couldn’t keep up with a structured corporate workday with three young kids at home (and still show up for myself in capacities I wanted to), so I left my nearly 13-year career.
I knew I wanted to be available for my kids on evenings and weekends, so I set my work hour boundaries within that.
I knew I wanted to start my own business, so I learnt, networked, and surrounded myself with like-minded people.
I knew I was capable, so I tried.
You don’t have to have it all figured out or exactly mapped out, but you can start to truly recognize when you feel happiest, when you feel most fulfilled, when your cup feels full - when you feel aligned. That is where the magic happens, that is when big shifts start to unfold. And as Mel Robbins likes to say, let them.
I’d love to hear what alignment feels or looks like for you, both in professionally or personally.
Stay a while, there’s more to come beneath the waves of motherhood, business, entrepreneurship, and everything in between and I can’t wait to share with you.
I'm glad you're here.
